Networks Centre’s Front Sliding Fibre Optic Patch Panels provide a robust and flexible solution for managing fibre terminations in structured cabling environments. Designed as a standard 1U 19-inch panel, each unit is suitable for both spliced and direct fibre terminations, making it ideal for use in data centres, telecommunications rooms, and enterprise networks.
A key feature of the Networks Centre design is the front sliding tray, which allows the panel to be fully extended once mounted in a rack or cabinet. When extended, the tray is supported by the lid, providing hands-free access to fibre terminations which simplifies installation, inspection, and maintenance.
Panels can be supplied pre-loaded with adapters to suit customer requirements, including ST, SC, LC Quad (LCQ), LC Duplex (LCD), and FC interfaces in singlemode and multimode variants.
The reinforced lid prevents bowing, and movable mounting ears allow the panel to be recessed for better patch cord bend radius control. The base of the tray includes four cable-tie fixing points, supporting effective strain relief and cable management.
Rear cable entry is provided via six inputs, supporting PG16 and PG11 glands, including ‘U’ cut-outs for easy installation of pre-terminated cables. Each panel is individually packaged and supplied with a comprehensive accessory kit.
